Assalamualikum,
I am Dr. Mujahid Raja from Nepal. I was the first foreign male student as well as the first Nepali student of this respected Barind Medical College, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. I have got admitted in this Medical College in the year 2015 A.D. I had started my journey of MBBS very smoothly in the first few months of the year 2015 but unfortunately, I got suffered from a very rare disease called GBS (Guillain Barre Syndrome) which paralyzed all parts of body progressively and admitted to this hospital for my better management but, because of typical features of GBS and lack of diagnosis I was referred to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital but the result of my treatment was same as in BMCH and my condition was worsting day by day. In this duration, the management committee of BMCH was very much tense in respect of my health and well-being. After not getting the satisfied result and the condition of my health, BMCH management committee decided to referred me to Dhaka at the Square Hospital which was very much costly near about BDT 12.50 lac but besides this they referred me there as early as they can in the Square Hospital. I stayed for about one month. In this duration, I was admitted two weeks in ICU and used to take immunoglobulin injection which was very much expensive and the charge of ICU was also very much expensive. Even I was the first and only Nepali student but the Barind people never made me feel like I am alone and no one behind me.
All the management committee, Professors, Teachers, Doctors, Nurses, Office staffs and all my colleagues were praying to Allah for my betterment as well as they did charity to support the expense of my treatment. They collect money inside the college and outside of the college also. The Managing Director Mr. Md. Shamsuddin Sir, the Principal of this Medical College and the Professors did charity as much as they can and they used to meet me in the hospital from Rajshahi to Dhaka beside their busy life and they treat me as their own child was on the bed. In this duration they never asked me for any charge of treatment. In my life, I got counted by such kind-hearted people and management.
